Right as of 10/20/09 they are still doing loketests in Japan, I believe this weekend will be the 4th or 5th test, as of now there are two new characters, Hazama and Tsubaki. They've rebalanced the old characters (well practically nerfed everyone except Hakumen, Tager, and Bang) and added new moves to their arsenal. New game mechanics such as Guard Primer and Barrier Break replace the Guard Libra and Barrier Burst respectively. While it seems there are more intricate and prolonged combos in the game, whole general damage of the game has been decreased.


Overall the game looks more fluid, well I know it may be hard to tell, since my only resource I can give you is a shitty cellphone video, but it is still quite visible.

The main nerfs have been Nu, Arakune, Rachel, and Jin. I can't really go into much detail with them, but from what I understand Nu's swords have been shortened, Arakune's curse has been replaced with a fever mode, Rachel is a little girl so quit playing with her pervs, and Jin's omg cancel move ice ice cancel has been stopped in its tracks.

The Guard Primer system is basically your endurance for how long your defensive positions will hold. Block too long, it will be depleted and you'll be left open for the teh rapeness. I think it may also may affect how long your barrier will hold until it hits DANGER. The Guard Primer system is somewhat intertwined with the Barrier Break system. Barrier Break acts exactly like Barrier Bursts in the fact that it creates an explosion around the character lauching the opponent out of attacking range and leaving you for the chance to go on the offensive. The difference is that it won't leave you in DANGER if used and there is one per round which can be stocked for later use.

The game is freaking pretty okay? More animation, more voice acting, more button mashing... it will immerse you in the generic anime world of Blazblue(excluding Tager, he fits more in an American comic book) and you'll fucking love it!


Oh and Hakumen's heat guage magnamata or whatever got revamped and Tager got smaller

I Like BB, It's fun and all but it takes a bit getting used to... It is in someways very much like GG though.
I love it's presentation and the Gameplay's sweet but I can't picture myself hopping online with this one, I have the same issue with MVC2, My main issue is that some players would cheese the hell out of me and since I am not an experienced player in BB I stay out of the online side of the game and opt for it's single player.
So this is DLC, AMIRITE?

Only reason I would get this is to learn more about the dude with the hat haha. He was just teased at in BB and made me want to know about him.

So incredibly excited for CS.... I want it nao! and will most likely be getting it day 1. As a plus note though, they have been mentioning that a possible 3rd new char will be in it for console versions, but no word on whom yet (thinking the little orange coated rat that tao is friends with, or kokanoa)
