Just by looking at it, by my state it would cost a meesly 9 bucks a month to run folding non stop... thats nothing!

So lets break it down... im going to average a single fold to 6 hours just to save time in my math, if we do that then you could get 4 folds a day, 120 a month.

120 divided by 9 is .075

so im looking at about 8 cents a fold if you add the extra 30 minutes and make the folds 6 1/2 hours.

8 cents a Fold!

I prefer not to leave any electrical appliances on, when I do not use them. But I use Folding@home from my PC when I work, so I guess I can join WSS from PC.

Is this team still alive? I joined it on PC and as soon as I finish watching episode of the "Castle" I'll join this team on PS 3. I still don't understand completely how this thing works. We all do same things for university? And this teaming is just for um... fun? Basically it's like everyone is doing one thing for one actual real team of scientists? Right?

Yes, Stanford use this to calculate a protien fold, a fold so fast that it would take 1 computer a long ass time to calculate just one fold, think what 100,000,000 computers could do in a short amount of time. I'm not an expert on this feature but, I do know that I'm contributing to cure diseases. The team is still alive but I think there are only a few of us still folding. I took the lead about 2 weeks ago as far as work unit count but Murder has cleaned house with over all score. PC users get more points for folds.

Well, I have joined the WSS team, I don't use it too much, but I might do it more now.... usually have it set up when I have to do things around the house and whatnot... and sometimes when I sleep.
