Once you assemble the normal staff, that's it. You only need to get the plans thereafter to upgrade. You may need to start act 4 first to get the other plans from the vendor. I'm not sure though. You may even need to restart the chapter.

Once you have used the staff once, its gone, so if you want to make the Hell staff, for instance, you have to collect all the mats, make the normal staff, upgrade it to NM and then upgrade it to Hell... not exactly cheap:

Normal staff = 50k
Nightmare Staff = 200k
Hell staff = 500k
Inferno staff = 1 million (I assume)

755k might be nothing to some but its more than I have had at any one time yet (I have upgrades i need). I made the NM version of staff last night, but have to save for the next step.

I don't know if you need a staff every time in each difficulty, i never tried to go back in once i did it in Normal once. What I mean is, if you wanted to do Hell twice, I don't know if you need to make 2 staffs or can just go in 2nd time...

That isn't what happened to me, after i went into the lvl on normal the cow took my staff, so I had to remake it again.

I found http://www.diablowiki.net/Boj_Anglers tonight on my 2nd barb, she is exploiting fact she doesn't need to wear as much defensive armor before Hell so has 85% mf.. it changes once she hits hell but she only lvl 46 right now so can't go into hell yet anyway.

Nightmare Act 3 is where I have found almost all my legendary items, just my lucky zone. I have 5 legendary items all in the lvl 34-41 range, its a happy time for alts.

2 barbs means another 2 achievements once she hits 60. then i retire one and play another class. I only started her 3 days ago. Skeleton king will have a warrant out for my arrest, in last 4 days I have killed him 3 times (Once in normal, once in NM, and once in Inferno)

This dropped at start of night, it looks pretty cool but is 10 lvls behind where I am (damn I hate that drop thing) and was half the dps of weapon I normally used.. but it looks cool:



Then as I was doing the quest to destroy the demon heart, this next item fell and I am actually using it. I am getting addicted to Increased Attack Speed (and the run speed with it and Boj Anglers is silly), lucky its after the nerf as I won't have to adjust to its slower speed.



The belt is a Easter Egg as it refers to Cassius Clay.

It replaced another legendary belt... what can I say? I am just lucky.. and unlucky as Blizzard will 1 day upgrade all legendary items except the ones already in existence.. sigh

I still can't get a legendary drop. The only I did get came from Whimsyshire on normal

I am bored, farming for the sake of farming isn't fun. I played D2 for several years, because I was always hoping to get a great drop AND I was trying to reach lvl 99. Getting to 60 is too easy, I made a Barb last Friday and its already lvl 60.

I wanted to play this game for a lot longer than 2 months. I know that patches/expansions will fix this issue but how long do we have to wait?

Sure, I am just farming Act 3 Hell, as Inferno on my barb is just silly. I would need to spend several weeks just collecting gold to buy the gear I need to get there, and since when was DIablo a game about watching an AH? I really preferred to old drop system where you could actually get upgrades from bosses instead of buying them off someone else. I know people traded in the past but not all of us did... now you have no choice.

Hell is fun, I can play any build I want to and slaughter the mobs... Inferno you have to use certain builds to even survive.. where is fun in that? Hell only sucks as I seem to always get lvl 51 gear... even with 5 stacks of NV.

Last few days its just been hard to bother playing.

Its a little wider to show what I am actually wearing. I hope they buff legendary items soon so I don't keep getting things that aren't the buffed versions. I have found at least 10 of them now... 3 chests, 2 belts, 3 weapons (maybe more) and 1 set of boots I can think of off top of head. I was hoping it ws a higher lvl than 55. I guess that is what i get for farming Hell Act 3... also got my 1st two useful parts of lvl 61 gear tonight too... just before they shut servers down as usual.

Found it before I had any NV stacks, though I have 74mf unbuffed (I added more since then, I have 180mf with NV buff now) so that might have been reason.
