Superannuation, some of the best internet Matlocks around, have discovered something very interesting. It's a job listing for the team at EA that makes Boom Blox. It's pretty straight forward for the most part. They need some new devs to help them work on their new game. They're a tight knit group that they describe as "What if EA had an internal start up? The BAFTA-winning Boom Blox team is an agile, closely-knit group which answers questions by prototyping before building design documents." Yadda, yadda, yadda.

Then it gets interesting when they drop this nugget: "Our last two titles were Wii-based, but our next titles will be for the next generation." Assuming that they aren't referring to the next generation of consoles after this cycle, and are instead indeed saying that the Wii is not next-gen, but the 360 and PS3 are, that means that it is highly likely that they're working on a Boom Blox for Sony and Microsoft's upcoming motion control tech. This is even more likely when you consider some previous job listings and a Linkedin page that show EA working on an unannounced PS3 motion control/Natal game.

Could it be? Maybe they're hoping for a bit more market share for the game. Maybe it's a direct port. It's not like Boom Blox is that graphically demanding so why couldn't it be ported to all three systems? With that in mind it actually seems a bit less likely that this is indeed a Boom Blox game being discussed.

I rented this game on wii! Lots of fun but would be better on ps3 with online play and stuff.

I think it would be pretty cool, had it for Wii and its a great party game.

tried it on the Wii it was pretty fun. Be interesting to see how it translates to PS3
