WSS may already have this...

However, being new here, I thought I would suggest that WSS create a few sticky threads for IPHONE / Droid and maybe other mobile platforms.

I would say just about all of us have either an Iphone or a Droid of some sort.

The threads could discuss new apps for productivity or games..

If WSS has something like this, please point me to it!

Actually we don't have one, but it would be a good idea to make one. At least similar to the VITA sticky so we know who has what and they can connect with others who have the same devices/games.

I don't have a mobile phone myself, but if any of the mods who do would like to start a sticky for Iphone and/or Droid, you are more than welcome to.

Other mobiles are a little more tricky than the Vita, as most online for mobiles are on a game by game basses, not an universal friend's list like Vita with the PSN.

As well as PSP plays through Ad-hoc for most of it's games, only a select few have internet connectivity that uses the PSN list, so you have to have a whole other set up to play Ad-hoc games with people online (something I can't set up last time I checked because I have wireless) I would assume that Ad-hoc party for the PS3 uses the PSN list but having never been able to use it I'm really not sure how it's set up =x.

The DS is very much so online on a game by game bases, you would pretty much have to make a sticky thread per DS game. As there's no universal friend's list that conveniently works for all the games you play on it. If you have any online game in mind though I'll set a few up.

I have no idea of the 3DS requirements yet =x

What kind of info do you need for iPhone / Android games? All of the games I have on my droid are single player, so I have no idea what kind of information you need to hook up with someone for some multilayer game play.

Well for iPhone Apple introduced "Game Center" which is essentially PSN for iPhone games that are programmed to use that functionality. Real Racing 2 I think uses this for example. For it to work you would need their Game Center ID which is nothing more than the Email address they opened the account with.

There is also a couple other online networks on iPhone that pre-date Game Center which are:

Crystal
Openfeint
Origin

For Droid...... /shrug Hopefully Wiggle can fill that one in.

Maybe a "sub forum" would be more appropriate for the Droid and Iphone? Droids do not currently have anything prominent like PSN...

Under the sub form WSS'ers could discuss apps that they enjoy or apps that were over rated / over priced etc.

That is the purpose of this forum so feel free to post anything related to those devices here. We reduced the number of sub-forums recently because most of them were very inactive if not completely dead. However, if we suddenly started getting 5-10 new topics per day about Iphone stuff, we might decide to add a sub-forum for it specifically.
